Want to do something absolutely epic on your stag do in Sheffield? Get the chaps out of the city on Saturday afternoon, and take them on a gorge walk.
This is completely different to your average Peak District adventure. Gorge walking is the Rocky Balboa of hiking activities! It's big, it's badass, and it will make you feel like you just got in the ring with Mother Nature.
In other words, it's one of the most awesome things you can do on a stag do in Sheffield! Pack some strong shoes or trainers, tell the lads they'll need to train before the event, and prepare to tackle the coolest terrain in the Hathersage/Castleton area.
You'll be issued with full gorge walking kit, which includes waterproof overalls and hard hats. Don't expect the outerwear to protect your civvies, though. This is as hardcore as outdoor activities get, and you are going to get wet.
Enthusiastic, friendly instructors will lead your group on a route through the gorge that takes in rapids, rivers, pools, boulder scrambles, and rock traverses. Leap into plunge pools. Inch along rocky ledges. Climb ball-shrinkingly high ascents. Battle the white water. One thing's for sure, this is no walk in the park!
