Malta's landscape is incredible - huge limestone cliffs rising out of the Mediterranean, hiding secret coves and topped with megalithic temples over 7,000 years old! It's one of the best places to abseil anywhere in the world. Strap in to the climbing harness, and rappel over the edge of a cliff with the sparkling waters of the Med spread out beneath you...

Abseiling might look like the opposite of climbing, but it's actually one of the sport's key techniques. When a cliff face is too smooth or steep to descend using hands and feet, a climber attaches a pitch and bounces down the rock using an abseil rope.

Listen to your instructors and follow their lead. After an afternoon on Maltese cliff faces, you'll have earned a cool pint!
