If you want to take a fun trip into your past, check out York Old School Sports Day. It's one of the best stag do ideas ever. Gather the lads together and raid the P.E. cupboard. This time round you don't have to set everything up. You're big fellas now. We'll book the sports hall and get an event manager to run the whole thing for you. Just arrive at the prearranged time. Simple.

Throwback to primary school

We've had Throwback Thursday on social media. Well, this is a bit like that, only you have to actually get in there and do something. Leave your phones alone for a bit and rewind to the days before everyone took selfies.

As this is a stag do and team spirit is essential, you compete in teams. In this event, they're houses. A bit like Hogwarts but without the actual wizardry. The stag and the best man really should be on separate teams for this one. It will be the battle of the best mates as you hurl yourselves to the finish lines in huge sacks, balance eggs on spoons, jump through hoops and run beanbag relay races.

York Old School Sports is the way to go if you're up for a short, fast and fun event that's hilarious and competitive but not insanely so. You can't get too serious about anything when you're wrestling with a hoop sporting a team bib and headband!
