Long before Team GB had their Olympic success, bows were being shot in the UK. We're talking all the way back to caveman days when we were just hunters roaming the land. Whether you fancy yourself Robin Hood or you've got a bit of Katniss Everdeen's spirit, archery is one helluva way to bond your boys before the big day.
Don't worry if lads on your stag weekend have never held a bow, let alone tried to do a competition with one. We've got experts on hand to give your stag party instruction on how to hold, handle, raise, aim and fire a bow like a pro. There's much more than just nocking an arrow and letting loose. You'll need a level head, steady hands and a good stance. Do you have what it takes to come out on top?
The outdoor activity centre is located a short drive from the city centre. When your group arrives, you'll do a quick meet and greet with the event coordinators. Your stag party will go through a safety briefing before you go through some instruction that'll make your archery success much more attainable. When you've got the basics down you'll move on to the practice session. The targets you'll be aiming for aren't your bog standard bullseyes, lads. You'll be shooting for targets that exploded, pop up and move along the range. Keep your cool, knock, aim and release. Boom! You're onto a winner!
During the challenge round two to four people will compete head to head. At the end of the competition there can only be one lad at the top. Who will be left buying rounds for the winner? When your archery session is over, return to the city centre brimming with confidence, grab a celebratory pint on George Street and get ready to rock this city on the stag's final weekend of freedom!
