Happy Friday, lads. Let us embrace the weekend ahead as it is set to be a cracker! The Ryder Cup'one of the biggest sporting events takes place over the weekend, alongside some other mouth-watering sporting action.
It may be October as of tomorrow, but autumn is one of the best times of year for sport'let us take you through this week's action.
Ryder Cup 2016
The 2016 Ryder Cup begins this lunch time at the Hazeltine National, Minnesota. Team Europe are hunting their fourth successive Ryder Cup victory over Team USA, but it is the hosts who are favourites.
Today is the foursomes matches where partners take alternate shots; Justin Rose and and Henrik Stenson begin the defence of Europe's Ryder Cup against Jordan Spieth and Patrick reed. Next up will be Rory McIlroy and rookie Andy Sullivan against Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler. The two other matches are Sergio Garcia and Martin Kaymer versus Jimmy Walker and Zach Johnson, while Thomas Pieters and Lee Westwood take on Dustin Johnson and Matt Kuchar.
The fourballs matches will be played after and then the reverse matches will be played tomorrow, before the 12 singles matches on Sunday. The Ryder Cup has a tendency to create exciting drama, so be sure to catch some of the action this weekend!
Super Sunday
With European action taking place during their week, a lot of the Premier League boys are playing on Sunday. Before then we have another instalment of Friday Night Football as Everton host Crystal Palace at Goodison Park.
Rumours are rife that we could see the first Premier League managerial departure should Swansea lose to Liverpool in the Saturday lunchtime game. Swans boss Francesco Guidolin has come under increasing pressure in recent weeks, and the club have supposedly held meetings with potential replacements.
The most talked about game of the weekend takes place at White Hart Lane on Sunday, as second place Spurs host table-toppers Manchester City. Pep Guardiola's side have taken the league by storm so far, winning their first six games of the season, but there is a belief among many that Mauricio Pochettino's side could cause an upset. City's defence looked fragile in the week as they drew 3-3 with Celtic in the Champions League, whilst Spurs claimed a vital 1-0 win at CSKA Moscow. This should be an intriguing encounter!
Malaysian Grand Prix
The Malaysian Grand Prix takes place this weekend as Lewis Hamilton tries to return to the top of the standings ahead of his Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg.
Hamilton was the quicker of the two in second practice this morning, as he looks to claim his seventh race victory of the season in Malaysia. With only five races to follow this one, the business end of the season is now being entered!
