Fire up your engines, chaps, it's time to get competitive! We're taking you to an epic outdoor karting track, a mere petrol can's throw from the beach. How many other UK stag weekend destinations let you race with an actual sea view?
Go karting is always a welcome addition to a stag weekend, particularly when the groom's a bit of a petrol head. Get the chaps away from Blackpool's bars for a few hours, stick a bit of fresh air in their lungs and watch the hangovers vanish in a cloud of burned rubber!
The setup at the Blackpool track is epic. You'll be racing in the format of your choice, either as a Le Mans style endurance challenge or a straight-up GP. Choose the former if you want to build a team bond between the boys (useful on a night out), or go for the Grand Prix if you prefer head to head competition.
A Grand Prix can be a brilliantly fun way to get the boys playing together again. A little contest never hurt anyone, especially when there are little irritations to sort out. There's nothing like no sleep and loads of beer to fray tempers - and there's nothing like a spot of real life Mariokart to smooth things out again!
Endurance racing takes a bit more finesse. The chaps will be racing in teams, to compile the best overall lap times and highest number of completed laps. When you change up drivers is up to you, but remember - you'll need to factor in refuelling and changeovers. Have you got the smarts for it?
