Horse racing has everything - camaraderie, fresh air, excitement and plenty of beer. What more could you want from your Saturday?

The details of your horse racing package vary between destinations, but a few things are generally set in stone. Expect to get a round of free beers to kick off the afternoon, and in most locations there's probably the option to get involved with a slap up meal as well.

A day out with the nags is a great opportunity for some stag party fancy dress. We're talking country squires or Jazz Age dandies here, chaps, not massive inflatable willies. Tailor your costumes to the environment for some added entertainment value!

We recommend dressing the stag up as John McCririck, or doing the whole tweed caps and plus fours thing. Do check with us before you go, though, as some venues have a strict dress code.

All that's left is to decide how you will be picking your horses! Some say the form guide is your best bet, though we reckon the time honoured tradition of choosing your favourite name is more fun...
