The ocean is almost impossibly turquoise, incredibly clean, and home to all sorts of fascinating fish and marine life. If there's time and you're up for it, stop off at one of Malta's pristine bays and get some snorkelling in.

The caves are something else! Paddle past and into centuries-old caves. Then of course there's the Blue Lagoon of Comino Island...
