In a brilliant double move, we've brought together two of the greatest things known to a stag party: loads of free shots, and afternoon drinking.

Hosted at a popular bar in the heart of Blackpool, this whisky tasting challenge is all about listening, learning and discovering the hidden flavours of the Water of Life. And nailing six freebies each before dinner. Score.

The format is perfection itself. Your stag party is greeted with cocktails, while a bartender and whisky expert racks up two challenges for each man, featuring three shorts per challenge. As she pours, she'll let you in on the secrets behind distilling and casking, with some whisky lore thrown in for good measure.

Now comes the tricky bit! Can you identify all six shots blind, according to the criteria your host gives you?

You'll be asked to spot quality single malts amongst blends, or identify different types of casking or mash from taste and smell. Winners get to show off for the rest of the weekend, losers are rewarded with a series of increasingly funny gifts.

When you've finished, you'll be well on your way to dinnertime, and the night ahead. And already in the centre of Blackpool. Good times.
