York Canoeing

A canoeing stag weekend in York strikes the right balance between action and relaxation! No-one needs to be Iron Man to go for a paddle, but you'll still get the blood pumping, cure those hangovers and get a little adrenaline hit too.

Every stag weekend should have one activity the chaps don't usually get to try! In York, it's taking a canoe for a spin on the River Ouse. You don't do this on your average Saturday afternoon, and that makes it perfect for a bit of bonding and a welcome break from all those quality ales.

It doesn't matter if you've never done this before. We can gear your canoeing session towards the ability levels of the group. Just let the instructors know where you're at when you begin, and they'll tailor the afternoon to suit.

The Ouse is right in the middle of York, so you don't even need to mess around with transfers. What a way to see the city! Pick from a pair of sessions, either static canoeing in one spot or a trip down the river to see the sights.

If you want to get out and about and see a bit of York on your stag do, canoeing is an excellent choice. Treading the cobbles and looking at historic buildings definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea, but a paddle past the city's impressive landmarks will keep the whole party happy.
