York Footgolf

More exciting than bog standard golf and less athletic than full-on five-a-side, footgolf is the dream stag do activity. It's a big hit in the US and has just bounced over to the UK and rolled inside the medieval walls of York. Swap cobbles for lush greens and have a go at getting a football into as many man-size golf holes as possible using the least number of shots. Competitive but not too sweaty, dangerous or terrifying, this is the perfect activity for the morning after the night before.

Located a short distance from York town centre, the area's only 18-hole footgolf course has a few surprises to get the competitive spirit and adrenaline pumping. Kick the stag's ball in the bunkers at every available opportunity and catch him on camera as he throws a right tantrum trying to get it out!

No game of footgolf would be complete without a couple of pints in the 19th hole. When you've smashed the 18 holes on the course, head back to York town centre for a few craft beers in the city's ye olde pubs along Micklegate, Petergate and Fossgate. That's Saturday afternoon of your stag do sorted.
