Derby Weaselling

Rock scrambling and weaselling are the hilarious arts of clambering over low-level boulders-and 'weaselling' through the gaps between them. You'll learn everything you need to know about going over, under and through natural obstacles. And if that's not a metaphor for married life, we don't know what is!

Your group will be kitted out with helmets and led to a top weaselling spot in the Matlock area (just outside Derby). After a brief safety lecture and instruction, your expert guides will help you to overcome your first obstacles. Learn to find the best routes over, around, and through the boulder fields, as you get an introduction to one of the most popular 'all abilities' outdoor sports in the country.

Let's face it, fellers. After a massive night in Derby's big drinking areas, you might not be up for a massive hike or a challenging climb. Weaselling and rock scrambling are a much safer bet! You'll still get to enjoy the monumental Peak District country, you'll still get plenty of fresh air and exercise: but you'll never be more than a few feet from the ground. In fact, the only thing you have to worry about is getting wedged between boulders, if you lie about your waistline...
