Bournemouth Wind Surfing

Cowabunga, dude! Windsurfing is surfing's big brother, and you can't do it in just any old stag party location. But you can do it in Bournemouth.

A cross between sailing and stand up paddle boarding (SUP'ing), windsurfing combines everything that's awesome about the elements. Instead of paddling, you use a light, manoeuvrable sail planted in the middle of the board. Angle it to catch the wind right, and you can carve up and down the wave faces just like a free surfer - but, and here's the good but, if there are no waves you still get a sick ride!

Bournemouth is one of the best places in the UK to windsurf. The conditions are usually perfect - a stiff breeze and not much in the way of big swell.

During this 3 hour lesson, you'll learn to prepare, launch and ride a windsurf board. Master the basics of standing with your weight braced away from the sail, and moving the sail to catch the wind just right.

You'll begin on land, practising the all important stance and turn. Then it's out into the ocean, to put your newfound skills to the test!
