Not far outside Blackpool, you'll find an archery centre with everything you need for a chest-beatingly good time. Traditional targets, competition-quality bows and arrows, and of course the expert instruction you need to master the challenging art of killing stuff with feathered missiles.

Archery is one of the trickiest hunting sports in human history. It's also one of the most badass. From horseback warriors to medieval sieges, the weapons you'll be holding on your stag weekend have been responsible for more carnage than anything else. Genghis Khan took over most of the world thanks to his mastery of the bow, and Belgian kings are still required to be Grand Masters of the crossbow.

When you rock up to the Blackpool archery centre, you'll be treated to a crash course in this deadliest of sports. Learn to nock the arrow, draw the string and hold it taut against your cheek. With the correct finger hold and a smooth release, you'll send your projectile into the target at speeds of up to 400 feet per second.
