Stag parties in Leeds can head to beer festival

A Leeds stag weekendmay not be complete without a trip to the first LS6 Beer Festival, which starts on Saturday (April 24th).

The festival of music and real ale aims to raise money for Village to Village, a small charity that helps to support community projects in Uganda and Tanzania.

Not that stag parties in Leeds will need an excuse to pray for some spring sun and check out all the real ales on offer.

There are a variety of beers available for punters to try, including Absolution, a 5.6 per cent mid-straw coloured pint brewed at the Abbeydale Brewery in Sheffield.

Dark Mild is brewed at Bank Top Brewery in Bolton and is four per cent. Beer drinkers might like to know it scooped the bronze award at the Society of Independent Brewers (Siba) North Beer competition in 2008.

Siba was formed in 1980 to represent the emerging trend of microbrewers.
