Bristol stag parties could take in Stroud Life ale
Stag parties in Bristol could get the chance to taste a specially brewed beer that takes its name from a local newspaper.
Under the Save the Local campaign, Stroud Life launched a four per cent brew that has gone on sale in more than ten pubs, with some located in Bristol and Oxford.
Jason Chare, editor of the publication, told HoldtheFrontPage.co.uk that another 20 pubs will start offering the ale within the next week.
Stag parties in Bristol may therefore get to enjoy the beer when celebrating a friend or family member's big day ahead.
"We're over the moon. We were hoping the beer would go down well but never in our wildest dreams did we think people would take to it so well," said Mr Chare.
Those heading off on a Bristol stag party this week might want to take a trip to the Bag O'Nails pub on Georges Road, which is offering 25 special real ales as part of its beer festival.
