Stag parties in Newcastle may wish to catch Modest Mouse

Stag parties in Newcastle may wish to catch US band Modest Mouse in action when they hit the stage at the O2 Academy on Tuesday August 31st.

The band - famed for songs such as Float On and Dashboard - have recently announced plans to re-release their album The Moon & Antarctica to mark its tenth anniversary.

Modest Mouse will also be playing this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals and could take the opportunity to once again team up with former guitarist of The Smiths Johnny Marr, who is currently a member of UK indie mob The Cribs.

Those who would prefer something a little different may prefer to catch Ash in action, when they play the venue on Sunday April 25th.

Men on stag weekends could find the group provide them with the ideal way to round off their celebrations.

Ash have recently been in the news for their A - Z Singles series.
