Bristol stag parties can visit Pub of the Year 2010

Stag parties in Bristol may want to visit the Seven Stars on Thomas Lane to have a pint or two.

The pub in Redcliffe has been voted the Pub of the Year 2010 by the Bristol and District Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) branch.

And once stag parties in Bristol decide to move on from the Seven Stars they can head to the Portcullis on Wellington Terrace, which took the prize of runner-up.

Paul Wratten, the 25-year-old manager of the winning pub, claimed its popularity comes from the range of eight guest ales. It was also runner-up in the competition last year.

Once Bristol stag parties have tried the ales on offer at the Seven Stars and the Portcullis, they can move on to the Annexe Inn on Neville Road, which came a close third.

Membership of the Bristol Camra branch has reached more than 2,000 people following the success of the Bristol Beer Festival held earlier this month.
