Live music could fit the bill for stag parties in Newcastle

Men on stag weekends in Newcastle could round off their weekend in style by catching a little live music.

The city's O2 Academy venue plays host to a tribute band with a difference on Sunday May 23rd as Misstallica - an all-female tribute to Metallica - take to the stage.

Fans of the legendary US metallers may enjoy listening to the hits of the group performed live as part of a weekend of celebrations in the north-east.

Tickets for the gig cost £7, which could leave stag parties in Newcastle with plenty of extra cash to splash in the many bars, pubs and clubs.

Alternatively, live music of a different kind may fit the bill when grime star Chipmunk performs at the Academy on July 8th as part of the Shine Shine Tour.

Tickets to catch the rapper - who scooped the Best Hip Hop Act at the 2009 MOBO’s - are priced at £17.50.
