Stag parties in Nottingham should sample Old Tom

Stag parties in Nottingham looking for a cheap and tasty pint should visit the Moulders Arms in Radford.

Named Pint of the Week by the Nottingham Evening Post, the Oakwell Old Tom won't break the bank at £1.47 for a large glass.

According to the newspaper, it is "an extremely palatable easy-drinking full-flavoured mild-type brew with a dry but pleasant aftertaste", which could be the ideal start to a stag night in Nottingham.

The pub itself might provide stag parties with a welcome change from more modern bars.

It is a good old-fashioned pub and even has karaoke, darts and dominos for stags and friends who fancy a reminder of days gone by.

Stag parties could try to recreate the 1980s tradition of drinking a pint in every pub along the route, known as the 'murder mile', which passed through the Moulders.

Why not make it a stag weekend in Nottingham and spend a night partying with the Pet Shop Boys, who are headlining the Splendour Festival at Wollaton Park on Saturday July 24th?
