Rollercoaster challenge for Blackpool stag parties

Fans of the Vauxhall VXR high-end motor range will be able to take their car to a special rollercoaster event for a stag party in Blackpool.

As part of the brand's Power Events series, drivers can experience the thrill of zooming up the motorway to the seaside resort and then challenging themselves to a ride on one of the area's many white-knuckle rollercoasters.

The party can then drive down to Alton Towers to complete the day, where a final rollercoaster ride will followed by a hearty barbecue.

Taking place between April and August, the VXR events also include track days around the UK's racecourses, sprint nights at airfields and road trips abroad.

Andy Gilson, marketing director for Vauxhall, said: "VXR continues to be a key component of the Vauxhall brand."

He added that the popularity of its VXR models makes events like these a success.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has identified St Patrick's Day on March 17th as a special day to visit the theme park, which could interest those planning stag parties in the area.
