Indie newcomers The Temper Trap shot to fame last year with their hit Sweet Disposition, which received mass radio airplay and even featured on TV adverts including Sky Sports HD and cult British teen drama Skins.

The Melbourne four-piece look set to build on the success of their album Conditions this year, which the BBC described as "blooming enjoyable pop music".

Partygoers on stag weekends in Newcastle may wish to catch the group when they play the city's O2 Academy on May 10th. Tickets for the gig cost £13.79.

Those who would prefer something a little different but also hotly tipped may wish to catch Mr Hudson, who achieved widespread success following his work with Kanye West.

The Londoner hits the stage at the venue on May 11th, with tickets costing £11.50.
