Nottingham stag parties might want to get their skates on

Adventurous Nottingham stag parties could get their skates on and take to the ice in the city centre until Sunday, January 10th.

The National Ice Centre has installed the huge Victoria Centre Ice Rink in the city's Old Market Square for a second year.

Sessions of 45 minutes are available on the rink from 10:00 to 21:00 GMT on weekends and selected seasonal days and from midday on weekdays.

Those that want to take to the ice can book tickets in advance or purchase them on the day. Adult tickets are £8 and include free skate hire.

Nottingham Stag Parties may want to sample the delights of the city's Christmas German Market which is conveniently located alongside the ice.

Website Christmas in Notts states that among the things available to buy at the market will be "Christmas cakes and cookies, smoked sausages, traditional wooden toys, nutcrackers, lanterns, waffles, candied fruit, jewellery and glass".
