Acting up on a Bristol stag weekend

Groups heading away on a Bristol stag weekend this December have the opportunity to take part in a theatre masterclass.

The JMK Trust's 2009 Direct Access Workshop could add a fun element to a Bristol stag weekend on December 5th.

What's more, the event at the Bristol Old Vic is free - taking nothing out of the entertainment budget.

Those who attend are promised a day of workshop-based learning covering all of the basics of how to be a theatre director.

Each event begins at 10:30 GMT and runs throughout the day until 17:00, providing a full day of entertainment.

Topics on the agenda include working with actors, casting the play, creating a scenic world on stage and even choosing the play itself from the multitude of texts available.

Similar events have already been held in London, Newcastle, Plymouth and Manchester, with Bristol due to play host to the last masterclass scheduled for 2009.
