New aquarium dwellers could interest Bristol stag night revellers

Those heading for a stag weekend in the city of Bristol may be interested to hear that the area's new aquarium is set to welcome thousands of new creatures today (November 17th).

The Blue Reef Aquarium, which is to officially open this Friday, will be the new home of thousands of sea creatures including sharks, conger eels, stingrays and other fish.

According to Visit Bristol, each creature is to be put into an individual water-filled bag and then taken to the new aquarium in a lorry which is set at a controlled heat level.

Commenting on the news, curator of the new Blue Reef Aquarium Zahra d'Aronville said: "The display tanks are looking absolutely fabulous and we're sure that the fish will thrive in their spacious new surroundings."

Those on a stag weekend in Bristol this month could head to the aquarium and check out the life-size sunken shop and giant coral reef exhibits.
