Festival could be ideal for Bristol stag weekend

Men planning on heading to Bristol for a stag weekend in 2010 could head to the city in June, as it could prove an easy base from which to travel to the world-famous Glastonbury festival.

The first batch of tickets for the festival have sold out, but with more to go on sale early next year, those planning a stag weekend in Bristol could still get lucky.

Bristol is only an hour away from the festival and stags could find it a great place to check out some bars and clubs before they travel to the music event.

Commenting on festivals recently, author of the Lonely Planet book A Year of Festivals James Bainbridge said that tourism is increasingly being seen in areas where festivals are held.

With bookies' favourites to headline the festival including the Rolling Stones and David Bowie, next year's Glastonbury could be the best one to visit on a stag weekend in Bristol.
