Ferry trip could be ideal for Bristol stag weekend
Those planning on getting away to the south-west for a stag weekend in Bristol could find that a trip to the city's harbour helps their celebrations get off to a fun start.
According to information on Visit Bristol, the city's ferries run all through the day and those who travel on them can go from place to place, stay on the ferry for a whole day for the entire tour, or "hop-on and hop-off" whenever takes their fancy.
"Throughout the summer season there is an eclectic mix of cruises up and down the river for all ages and interests - see wildlife, eat cream teas, drink champagne, plus many other themed trips to enjoy," the site said.
People can also hire the boats for special occasions or for particular reasons, such as checking out the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge, which could interest those on a stag weekend in Bristol.
The first foundation stone of the bridge was laid in 1831 but it was not finally completed until 1864.
