Sporting stags could take stag weekend in Nottingham

Men planning a stag night in Nottingham before a wedding next summer could find it ideal to head to the city in mid-July to check out a sporting event.

Between July 10th and 18th, the Samsung Hockey Champions Trophy event will be taking place at the Highfields Sports Club in the city.

This women's tournament could be a great event for sports-mad stags to visit on their stag weekend in Nottingham.

As well as the Women's Champions Trophy, the Men's Four Nations Tournament will be taking place in the city at the same time.

Taking part in the hockey tournaments alongside England will be Argentina, China, Germany and current Olympic champions the Netherlands.

Those on a stag weekend in Nottingham who are fans of sport could also check out the Trent Bridge Cricket Ground Tour which runs every Tuesday at 14:00 BST and lasts for around an hour and a half.
