Film festival could be ideal for stag weekend in Bristol

A film festival set to take place in Bristol next month could prove an ideal place for those on a stag weekend in the city to visit.

The Encounters festival is in its 15th year and is scheduled to kick off on November 17th.

It will last for six days, giving those on a stag night in Bristol plenty of time to catch the action.

"[The festival] provides a platform for global emerging talent to exhibit their work in an internationally recognised, competitive and dynamic forum," said the event website.

Among the works set to be debuted at the festival are films by student competition eg NAHEMI, Blank Slate and the UK Film Council's Digital Generation.

Those planning a stag weekend in Bristol could also be interested to learn that for the first time this year, the festival will be running a number of events focusing on those who have just made their first film and running masterclasses for such individuals.

Also running in November is the 157 Autumn Exhibition, which could also be interesting for those on a stag weekend in Bristol.
