Great North Run programme could be ideal for stag weekend in Newcastle

Those searching for something to do on a stag weekend in Newcastle could head over to the Bupa Great North Run Cultural Programme, which is set to run until the middle of November.

The event will feature a number of artistic commissions which draw their inspiration from the run, which is the world's largest half marathon.

Men travelling to the north-east for a stag weekend in Newcastle could find that the weekend that the Great North run takes place is the ideal time to visit, as the cultural programme will be running some special events to coincide.

"This year's programme includes a group exhibition at the Hatton Gallery entitled 'Hit the Ground' and a newly commissioned play at Live Theatre, amongst other events and activities," said VisitNewcastleGateshead.

Admission to the event is free.
