Cycle scheme could interest those on a Blackpool stag weekend

Those heading off on a Blackpool stag weekend could be interested in a new scheme aimed at giving the town a European feel.

As part of a new initiative announced last week, those on stag weekends in Blackpool will be able to hire bikes to cycle round the town and explore.

Brits heading for a stag night in Blackpool before Christmas could also fit in a visit to the famous Blackpool Illuminations, which are set to run until November 8th.

The cycle scheme is being jointly funded by Cycling England, Blackpool NHS and Blackpool Council and is based on a similar initiative in Paris, which sees city visitors able to hire bikes to scoot around the city.

There will be around 60 bikes available in Blackpool and the bright colour scheme of the cycles may make it easier for those on stag weekends in Blackpool to keep together on any cycle trips.
