Airport "helps provide green Bournemouth stag weekends"

Eco-conscious guys planning their Bournemouth stag weekend can now book flights with carbon offsetting, it has been revealed.

Bournemouth Airport is launching the option, which is already available from Thomson, First Choice and easyJet, and is part of its plan to reach carbon neutral status by 2012.

This will allow guys on a Bournemouth stag party to do so with their green credentials intact, the company suggests.

Mark Chadwick, chief executive of carbon management firm Carbon Clear, says he is delighted that those going on Bournemouth stag parties will have this option.

He states: "[The airport] is taking an industry leading role in helping its passengers to do the same, using high quality carbon credits that make a very real contribution to climate change and the communities they serve."

Guys heading on Bournemouth stag weekends will soon be able to enjoy the Boscombe Reef, the UK's first artificial surfing reef, before heading into town for a night of drinking.
