Lads on Newquay stag weekends "can enjoy beaches and great bars"
Despite Bournemouth investing in a new surf reef, surfers will still be keen on Newquay stag weekends because the resort has lots to offer, a local businessman has said.
Aggsy Baird, owner of Northshore surf shop, told the Cornish Guardian that the reef in Bournemouth will make no difference unless the conditions are good and lads will still be keen on stag weekends in Newquay because the town boasts a great party scene.
For these reasons, he does not believe that the new surf reef will prove a strong enough draw to surfers celebrating a stag night in Newquay.
"There can be eight feet waves on Fistral and as little as two or three feet in the bay. You've also got the other beaches at Crantock and Watergate Bay - and then you have the nightlife. So I don't think Newquay will be affected," he told the newspaper.
However, while the surf may not be up to the same standards, the women certainly are, with Zoo magazine voting Bournemouth girls the hottest beach babes in the UK, which could sway lads trying to decide between a stag weekend in Bournemouth or a Newquay stag weekend.
