Have a stag weekend in Edinburgh, the number one city to see before you die
Anyone struggling to decide where to celebrate their friend's upcoming marriage may want to organise a stag weekend in Edinburgh after the city was voted the place most people would like to visit before they die.
In the Travelodge Bucket List poll, the Scottish capital came top, seeing off competition from Bath, Liverpool, Belfast, Glasgow, Oxford and London.
Edinburgh City Council leader Jenny Dawe told the Scotsman that the city has a lot to offer lads on an Edinburgh stag weekend and other visitors.
"With our green spaces, historic buildings and great atmosphere, it's no wonder that people continue to think of Edinburgh as a must-visit location. You only have to see how the city is thriving with festival-goers to realise that Edinburgh's excellent reputation is still very much intact," she said.
If Scotland sounds a little far away, then the best man may want to organise a stag weekend in Cardiff, as the Welsh capital was also named as one of the must-see cities.
However, an Edinburgh stag weekend will be "one of the best weekends ever", according to a recent post on Fly Destination.
