Edinburgh "is the most beautiful big city in Britain"

Lads on a stag weekend in Edinburgh will be partying in a city which is not only alive and a lot of fun, but one which is also the most beautiful in the whole of Britain.

Writing for the Scotsman, Ron Hewitt, chief executive of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, claims that the buildings and surrounding areas make the city stand out.

"We have a fantastic built environment including the finest Georgian architecture in Europe … Edinburgh is undoubtedly the most beautiful of Britain's big cities," he states.

As well as being able to enjoy a beautiful place, lads on an Edinburgh stag weekend will also find it easy to get around as public transport is efficient and the Scottish capital is not too big, Mr Hewitt adds.

In other news, a spokesperson from VisitBritain recently claimed that Edinburgh is home to some of the most beautiful heritage attractions in the country.
