Blackpool launches own weather forecast service
Boys planning a stag weekend in Blackpool can now check what the weather will be like over the two days using the resort's very own webcast.
The seaside town has launched the service to combat what it calls a "mistrust of weather forecasts" among the general public.
It comes after the Met Office predicted that the resort would be hit by rain over the bank holiday Monday in May only to be blessed with glorious sunshine, which could have led people to postpone their Blackpool stag weekend.
The webcast could prove popular as well, with an Ipsos MORI survey commissioned by visitBlackpool finding that 58 per cent of people trust sources other than the national media to give them an accurate forecast.
In other news, the Blackpool Gazette recently reported that Claudia's lap dancing bar is to challenge a decision to revoke its licence, boys heading to a Blackpool stag night will be pleased to hear.
