Shorter journeys for Londoners heading on Cardiff stag weekends
Londoners heading on a stag weekend in Cardiff will soon be able to get to the Welsh capital a lot quicker under new plans to electrify the railway line between Paddington and Cardiff.
Government officials are finalising details of the plan, which will see extensive work take place on the Great Western main line, with stations in Reading, Oxford and Bristol to benefit as well.
The scheme would see the gradual installation of electric cables and it would link up the Crossrail service as well.
As electric trains accelerate quicker, it means lads from the capital can reach the Cardiff stag weekend earlier than they would normally be able to and get stuck in straight away.
Meanwhile, Clint Johnson, writing on internethomebusinessarticles.com, recently listed Cardiff as being among the best places to hold a stag do, with a stag night in Edinburgh, a stag party in Blackpool and a stag weekend in Bournemouth also recommended.
