Newquay and Bournemouth beaches "among the UK's best"

Lads heading to a stag weekend in Newquay will be able to hang around and sip beer on one of the UK's top beaches.

With many Brits planning to holiday at home this year, World Travel Guide has compiled a list of the nation's nicest beaches, with Newquay selected for its surfing qualities.

"Great waves, clear Gulf Stream waters and swathes of dedicated surfers keep this stretch of Cornwall coast a firm contender for the UK's surfing top spot," the website claims.

Meanwhile, those heading away for a stag weekend in Bournemouth can also look forward to nice beaches to relax on during the day.

The guide describes Bournemouth as "a magnet for beach lovers of all ages".
