Enjoy the beach on Edinburgh stag weekends

Those heading on a stag weekend in Edinburgh should not just focus on the bars and clubs because there are a number of beaches to enjoy, a source has claimed.

According to The Midgie, there are several spots just a few miles outside the city centre where lads can swim, chill and relax in the sun.

One beach highlighted is Cramond, which has become known over the years for its Punx Picnics, which involve groups of punk rockers going to Cramond Island, getting stranded and partying until it is safe to get back to dry land.

Another sandy stretch picked out by the source for lads on an Edinburgh stag weekend is Portobello, which is less than three miles from the centre of town and presents ample opportunity for spying on members of the fairer sex.

"The disused promenade is nice for a nostalgic stroll and the little rock pools are perfect for poking around for sea creatures. But even better is people watching on the beach front - slide your sunglasses down and ogle away," the news provider states.

In other Edinburgh stag night news, Victoria Cochrane, writing for a digital marketing agency, recently claimed that lads on a stag party in Edinburgh will not struggle for things to do as the city is packed with clubs, bars and more.
