Blackpool development proposals revealed

Lads on a Blackpool stag weekend in the near future better take their camera and get some shots because new plans have been unveiled which could change the place forever.

The Blackpool Gazette reports that local architect Peter Marshall has submitted two proposals to build residential and holiday accommodation, while businessman Max Smith and a consortium are hoping to construct three hotels, meaning lads on a Blackpool stag weekend will be spoilt for choice for somewhere to stay.

Mr Marshall told the news provider that the projects could be just what the doctor ordered to turn this seaside resort into one of the most sought-after places in the country.

"Should we get an approval I think there is a great chance development will start and over the next few years there will be an exciting series of projects on South Promenade which is what Blackpool needs," he said.

In other news, Rosalind Reason, from the Daily Mail, recently described the seaside resort as "bold, buzzing and barmy", lads planning a stag night in Blackpool will be pleased to hear.
