New flights between Newquay and Birmingham

Lads from Birmingham can get to their stag party in Newquay much easier thanks to the launch of a new flight route between Birmingham International Airport and Newquay Cornwall.

The new service will operate from today and run until September 2009, meaning guys heading off for a Newquay stag weekend this summer can get there with minimal fuss and cost.

Fares start at £18.99 one way including taxes and charges and Karen Medweth, head of commercial development at the Newquay hub, said the new route will establish strong links between the two places.

"We especially anticipate the flights being popular with leisure travellers looking to enjoy Newquay, which is regarded as the surf capital of the UK," she stated.

Recently, the Metro listed areas of the UK where there are lots of bars and good surfing conditions and Newquay was one of the locations recommended.

The news provider highlighted Fistral Beach as one place for lads on a Newquay stag weekend to visit before hitting the town and nightclubs.
